We’re looking to hire a team leader to run our virtual sports development team, helping build on our existing market leading product and take it to the next level.
You’ll need to be a strong C++ programmer with understanding of all aspects of game development including graphics, sound, physics and performance. Part of your role will be to set the standard of development, so you will have a high level of attention to detail and desire for clean, accurate, well written code. Our games operate in regulated markets, so you’ll not be happy with hacked code or poor standards.
You should also be organised and able to organise others, defining schedules, deadlines and priorities and communicating these to the rest of the team and stakeholders.
Ideally you will also have a couple of other languages behind you like C#, SQL, Java, Lua, Python and will be comfortable adding to your skillset and taking on new challenges.
Part of the role will be a technical mentor and guide for the team, advising management on best practices and processes and helping get them implemented while developing the skills of your colleagues.
Understanding of the setup and use of CI tools like Jenkins or TeamCity and used to working with JIRA would be a big advantage also.
Excellent communication skills are a must as you will be interacting with back-end developers, clients and management on a daily basis.
